Exciting Games To Play This Summer
The long-awaited follow-up to Michel Ancel’s Luc Besson looking sci-fi adventures is finally here. Beyond Good and Evil 2 promises to deliver more of the same space age escapades, but on a grander scale.
Armored Core is being brought back by FromSoftware for a newer generation, ten years after Elden Ring. This 2023 title looks to be a modern evolution of their punishing mech-assisted action.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage
Assassin’s creed is a huge video game franchise, also available using lol accounts for sale. Each game is set in a specific time and place, and the teams put a great deal of care into their settings. Assassin’s Creed Mirage, with a recent trailer that shows the game taking place in Baghdad, seems to take this into account.
It’s a bit of a departure from the open-world action-adventure of the main series, with a stronger focus on stealth and parkour in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. This is due to a shift in development as the game was moved from Ubisoft Bordeaux. That’s not to say it’ll skip past any of the advancements that have been made in the series since its first iteration, with the ability to reconnoiter areas via an eagle and other features that appeared in Origins and Odyssey returning.
The story will see Basim – a street thief with nightmarish dreams – join the ancient organization The Hidden Ones to become an assassin. The trailer shows an initiation ritual for the Brotherhood as well a glimpse into the vast city that players will explore. Social stealth, the ability to blend in with a crowd, returns as well as new upgradable Assassin’s Tools and the capability to lay traps.
The trailer, although CGI, gives a good idea of the gameplay. The emphasis on parkour and stealth seems to be a welcome return after the overly-bloated, open worlds in the last few entries of the franchise. The city of Baghdad has been built with this in mind, and it looks like it will have a range of different districts that are all designed to allow players to practice their parkour and stealth skills.
The main assassination events in Assassin’s Creed Mirage will happen during what are called Black Box missions, and they look to be similar to the Hitman-style missions of previous entries. The missions will be located in each district of the town, and players can choose to blend in with the crowd, or track a target on rooftops.
Star Wars Jedi Survivor
Star Wars fans endured a great deal in the last decade. The Mandalorian has been cheesy, Boba Fett and Obi-Wan have been toothless sidekicks, and enthusiasm for the next wave of movies has been tepid at best. But Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is the rare blockbuster that bucks this trend. It’s an enthralling follow-up that’s both an entertaining adventure and one of the best Star Wars games in years.
Respawn Entertainment has continued to improve on the formula that made Jedi: Fallen Order so successful. Cal Kestis is on the run this time, as an Empire is determined to crush his Resistance. The storyline is more ambitious, with characters that are grittier and themes of obsessions and betrayal. The plot paints a grim picture of the new status-quo, reminiscent of The Last Jedi’s terrible Empire.
In addition to the tense and gripping narrative, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is an exhilarating action-adventure that puts players in the shoes of a lightsaber-swinging hero. The gameplay is similar to that of the previous title but feels more refined this time. Despite the sometimes-overbearing pace, the experience is one of the most enjoyable and engaging I’ve had this year.
Much of this is due to the game’s incredibly strong mechanical design. The world of Koboh is vast, and it’s filled with secret areas, puzzle rooms, and other distractions. It’s open-world but not like a sandbox, where you can play a dozen different levels in one area. Instead, it’s an assortment of linear missions linked to a central center.
Jedi: Survivor stands out for its thrilling lightsaber battles and the tension that permeates the scenes. This is a powerful and exciting game that further expands upon iconic Star Wars stories, worlds, and characters while adding a thrilling new chapter to the story of Cal Kestis. The Force is strong with this one! And when you are good at gaming, high is the chance you’d do well playing some fun sports betting games via townvibe.
Alan Wake 2
After 13 years, fans finally got a sequel to the 2010 cult classic Alan Wake. But this time, it seems as though the darkness that ravaged the first game is back for a much more in-depth psychological torment.
In a recent PlayStation Blog, the creative director Sam Lake revealed that this title will be “really really dark”. The team is also focusing on more genuine survival horror, instead of a pure action experience. This move marks a change in style for the developer, and could prove to be very interesting for players.
Lake also discussed how he wanted to use the game’s technology to create an even more realistic experience for players. This will be possible thanks to Remedy Entertainment’s Northlight engine, which has been used for both Quantum Break and Control. The engine will ensure that the game’s graphics are as lifelike as possible, making it more immersive.
The developer also revealed that the story of Alan Wake 2 will be an open-world game, unlike its predecessor. This means that players will be able to explore the town of Bright Falls at their own leisure, discovering new areas and attempting to uncover the truth behind the events from the original game.
A statement made by the PS Blog regarding episodic gaming is another interesting bit of information. The sequel to Alan Wake is likely to follow the trend of big-name shows such as House of Cards and Transparent, which are released one episode at time. This is a huge shift from traditional games, but makes sense in the world of streaming services and consumers who want to pick what they watch.
Starfield
Bethesda games often set the bar when it comes to world-building, and Starfield looks to be no exception. The team that created Skyrim and Fallout applied the same approach to Starfield, and it looks like a beautiful sci-fi game with a rich story and a lot of interesting characters.
The first glimpse at the game was in a two-minute trailer at E3 2021, and it showed off some of the gameplay features and aesthetics that fans have been eager to see. We saw a character wearing a suit and helmet preparing to board a ship. There was also a mysterious planet, and some cool space battles.
Todd Howard, Starfield director, told Lex Fridman in an interview that the game offers a more immersive gameplay experience than any previous Bethesda title. He said that the game would have an open world, and a feeling of freedom. He also emphasized that this will be the first time the company has made a multiplayer-only game.
The team also spoke about the flight mechanics within the game. It will allow players to fly their own spaceship and customize its design. The players will be in charge of managing fuel and firepower as well as boosting the thrusters when necessary. They will also be able to board enemy ships and explore the interiors of other space stations.
While the game is still under development, it will be available on systems affiliated with Microsoft. This means that it will be exclusive to PCs and current-generation Xbox consoles, including the X and S models. Bethesda faces pressure to make the new IP successful, given that Microsoft recently acquired it.
